Imagine this Valentine’s Day being all dressed up with nowhere to go. This is the case for thousands of people with disabilities in the UK who, without Changing Places toilets, are limited in where they can go and what they can do.
Spontaneous dates are impossible without the reassurance that there will be access to a toilet that meets your needs. A date requires planning and searching the Changing Places toilet map for nearby facilities. The reality is, even when planning ahead of time, there is still a lack of venues in the UK that you can go to for a date. For example, we need more cinemas, restaurants, bowling alleys, parks, and outdoor spaces – places where people go for dates – to be fully accessible and install a Changing Places toilet.
Would you believe…
This is just a small example.
This Valentine’s Day, we’re calling on venues to install a Changing Places toilet so that everyone can visit! After all, love is equal, love is inclusive and love should never leave anyone behind.
