Funding to install Changing Places toilets in hospitals
The Department of Health and Social Care has made £2 million available for NHS Acute (Hospital) Trusts in England to install Changing Places toilets.
The aim of the funding is to increase the availability of Changing Places toilets across hospitals in England. Primary care providers, community hospitals and Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are not eligible to apply. Private providers of health services are also not eligible.
If an NHS Trust already has Changing Places facilities they can still apply for funding to install further facilities.
We strongly encourage all hospitals in England who do not currently provide a Changing Places toilet to apply for funding to install as this will vastly improve the experience of many people visting your hospital.
