Changing Places at IKEA
Due to the campaigning and hard work of consortium members PAMIS, the first Changing Places toilet at an IKEA store is now open. Prior to the opening the manager of the IKEA store in Edinburgh attended an event in Parliament hosted by PAMIS to launch the British Standard and also attended the opening of another Changing Places facility in Perth. PAMIS staff provided ongoing advice as the project developed and have to date supported the opening of over 50 Changing Places toilets in Scotland. With more Changing Places toilet on the way 2011 is set to be a very busy year for Changing Places Consortium members in Scotland and across the rest of the UK.
