News From PAMIS

On World toilet day, 19th Nov 2016, PAMIS borrowed the Mobiloo from Gloucestershire and spent a weekend visiting a number of venues in Scotland, these included Glasgow Science Centre, the Kelpies and Perth High Street.

Mobiloo has a hoist, height adjustable bench and a peninsular toilet, and importantly an automatic tail lift. It also has a hand basin with hot water, and internal heater and side door access. By taking the Mobiloo around various venues, PAMIS enabled families to have a good look around.

This is what PAMIS had to say about working with Mobiloo...

"PAMIS, and the families we support were so impressed that we decided to order a Mobiloo to use in Scotland!  PAMIS still has a lot of fundraising to do, but we thought it was the right thing to do!  Families over the summer of 2017 and beyond need to be able to use the facility and know it is available for event organisers to hire in Scotland. No one should be excluded from attending an event in Scotland due to lack of suitable changing facilities.
Recently we received the first photos of our Mobiloo getting made. Everybody at PAMIS is so excited. We have already had a few bookings for our Mobiloo – it will be at Edinburgh Fringe for three weeks and it is at Guthrie Castle for the PAMIS Conference in June."
