Write to the government
Write to your MP (England)
Writing a letter to your MP is a good way of supporting the Changing Places campaign. MPs have to respond to letters from their constituents.
You can find out who your MP is, and write to them, through the Write to them website.
Your MP needs to know:
- who you are
- why you are interested in this issue (maybe you are disabled yourself, or you have a relative or friend who needs Changing Places toilets)
- what the Changing Places campaign is
- what you want.
If there is no Changing Places toilet in the area where you live, tell your MP there are no fully accessible public toilets in your area, or how far disabled people in your area have to travel to find a public toilet that meets their needs. Ask your MP if they can help to get a Changing Places toilet built in your area.
If you write to your MP, please let us know. It would be really helpful if you could send us a copy of any reply you receive, too.
